What we carry
Six things we are good at, and a short list we refuse.
If it fits in a 45-litre bag and weighs less than a full crate of records, a rider can take it across town faster than you can park. Anything bigger, we will tell you honestly and point you somewhere else.
Same-day parcels
Booked before 3pm, delivered before 7pm. Booked before 11am in Zone A, delivered before 1pm. That is the whole promise.

A Tuesday at 4pm in the rain costs exactly what a Tuesday at 11am costs, because the rider is paid the same either way. We are not going to charge you more for weather we chose to work in.

The only four things that change the number
- Rush
- 90 minutes, any zone. Add $6. We will tell you before we accept it.
- Heavy
- Over 15 lb, up to 40 lb on a cargo bike. Add $4.
- Evening
- Picked up after 6pm. Add $5, and it goes to the rider on the late shift.
- Waiting
- First 10 minutes free. After that, $1 a minute, because the rider is standing still.

Are you actually rider-owned, or is that marketing?
Actually owned. Fourteen riders hold one share each, one share is one vote, and nobody outside the road holds equity. The rates on this page were set by a vote in January and they will be set by a vote again next January.
Our books are open to members at any time, and to customers on standing routes once a year if they ask.
What if it does not fit on a bike?
Then we say no. Two of our bikes are cargo bikes and they top out at 40 lb and roughly the size of a dishwasher box. Over that, we will give you the number of a van outfit we trust, and we will not take a referral fee for it.
Do you handle lab samples and cold items?
Yes, inside the city, in an insulated bag with a logged temperature at pickup and at drop-off. Four riders hold the handling certificate. We do not do anything requiring dry ice or a licensed hazmat placard.
What happens when it rains, or snows?
We ride. The price does not change. If the city closes a bridge or the ice makes a hill genuinely unsafe, dispatch calls you before the window closes and you are not charged — we would rather lose nine dollars than a collarbone.
Can I set up a standing weekly route?
Yes, and it is the thing we are best at. Four or more runs a week gets you a named rider, one invoice on the first of the month, and $1 off the zone price per run. Email dispatch with the addresses and the times and we will tell you within a day whether it fits the loop.
Do your riders take tips?
They do, and it goes to the rider who did the run, in full, the same day. We do not pool it, we do not take a percentage, and we are not going to put a suggested-tip screen in front of you.
